GFWC Bedford Woman's Club is hosting the Harlem Ambassadors on March 16, 2010 - 7:00pm - Offering a unique brand of Harlem-style basketball, featuring high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks, and hilarious comedy routines, the Harlem Ambassadors are talented male and female basketball players that are drug-free, college-educated, and positive in appearance. They are committed to giving their audience quality family entertainment and serving as excellent role models for young people with their program’s themes to stay in school and stay drug free. The Harlem Ambassadors will play against a team of local leaders and hometown heroes. We have named our team the “Bedford Hot Shots.” Tickets will be $6.00 in advance (while supplies last), $8.00 at the door. For this event, the Ambassadors have partnered with our local GFWC Bedford Woman’s Club. Proceeds will be donated to provide a trained service dog to a deaf or disabled serviceman or woman through the national program, Canines for Combat Veterans.
